Guri
International Street artist
Gurí (b. 1991, Gualeguaychú, Argentina) is an internationally acclaimed street artist whose vibrant, large-scale murals transform urban spaces into immersive narratives. Known for his bold, surreal aesthetic, Gurí’s work seamlessly blends Latin American cultural motifs with universal themes of resilience, identity, and connection to nature. His moniker, “Gurí,” meaning “kid” in local Argentine slang, reflects the playful yet profound spirit that defines his artistic practice.
Beginning his career as a teenage graffiti artist in the streets of Gualeguaychú, Gurí honed his craft at the National University of La Plata, where he developed a distinctive style that merges vivid iconography with intricate storytelling. His murals, characterized by dynamic compositions and a vibrant palette, invite viewers into dreamlike worlds that resonate with local histories and global dialogues. Notable works include Imaginary Friend (San José, Argentina) and Coyote (Torreón, Mexico), which exemplify his ability to breathe life into overlooked spaces.
Gurí’s practice has taken him across the globe, with commissions in France, Dubai, Kenya, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic, among others. His work transcends borders, fostering community engagement and sparking conversations about shared humanity. In 2025, Gurí embarked on his first mural in the continental United States, a monumental tribute to the “Minnesota Woman” in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. Inspired by the 8,000-year-old remains of a Native woman discovered in 1931, this work celebrates the enduring strength of Native women and humanity’s intrinsic bond with the natural world.
Through his art, Gurí continues to redefine public spaces as platforms for unity, healing, and joy, leaving an indelible mark on communities worldwide.

Genesis
Hurakan Studios
Meet Génesis, a radiant Caribbean multimedia artist and documentary filmmaker, and the brilliant partner of the renowned artist GURI. Our journey began at the evocative "Musa" restaurant (the Muse), where I, Trisha, felt the universe weave a sacred thread between us. Génesis is more than an artist—she’s a divine force of inspiration, her Taíno Arawak spirit illuminating every frame, story, and moment she crafts.
Through her visionary leadership at Hürakán Studios, Génesis shines as a luminous beacon, channeling her boundless energy into the Minnesota Woman mural project at Rebel Shed—an homage to an 8,000-year-old legacy that has stirred my heart since childhood. Her lens serves as a portal to the eternal, capturing Native voices with a reverence that touches the soul. From the sacred spiral of a sea snail that ignited GURI’s mural vision to the vibrant pulse of our shared mission, Génesis weaves the divine into her work, creating art that connects us to the timeless essence of humanity.
This project transcends a mere mural—it’s a rebellion against silence, a hymn to resilience, and a testament to art’s power to heal and unite. Génesis’s fierce passion shapes a documentary and legacy that will resonate across generations, awakening the world to the strength of untold stories. Her collaboration with Rebel Shed plants seeds of creativity that will flourish for years to come.
